The Projects

  • Hoyle Pond Surface 10MVA Substations
    • Excavate, backfill, form and pour tower foundations, containment area, NGR pad, chain link fence, 34.5 KV tower with all associated tie-ins.
    • Planned outage was performed outside normal work hours and new tie-ins were completed on time as scheduled.

    Hoyle Pond Surface Maintenance Shop Addition

    • 5,800 square foot addition to existing surface shop consisting of floating type foundations, 50’ X 100’ X 29’ high / 20’ X 40’ X 27’-4 pre-engineered metal building, (1) 10-ton capacity top running single girder overhead crane, overhead doors, plumbing heating, ventilation and electrical.

    Hoyle Pond Administration/Dry Expansion Phase 1   

    • 9,985 square foot addition to existing complex consisting of concrete foundations, conventional steel framing, q-decking floors and roof, metal studs, cladding, drywall, flooring, electrical and mechanical.
    • The expansion consisted of an expanded main floor warehouse with office, lamp repairs, storage, 2nd floor with upper, lower beat and construction meeting rooms.
    • Miscellaneous opening at tie-ins.
    • A lot of coordination was required to accommodate daily operations of the mine.

    Hoyle Pond Administration/Dry Expansion Phase II

    Three stage project consisting of:

    • Stage 1, redirecting pedestrians by providing new temporary corridors and covered walkways
    • Stage 2, 26,000 square foot dry-office expansion consisting of conventional steel frame structure, poured 1st, 2nd and mezzanine floors, offices, showers, elevator, 600 each lockers, locker baskets complete with all electrical and mechanical services.

    Stage 3, relocate existing personnel into new stage 2 addition and thereafter, renovate existing 20,000 square foot administration complex consisting of new offices, storage vaults, locker rooms complete with all electrical and mechanical services.
